Principles of Operations
The daytime running lamps (DRL) are ON under the following conditions:
- Ignition switch is in the RUN position
- Headlamp switch is in the OFF position
The DRL system is designed to turn the low beam headlamps ON automatically as soon as engine is running. The driver can disable the DRL system by any one of the following actions:
- Turning the ignition switch to any position except RUN
- Turning the headlamp switch to any position except OFF
Inspection and Verification
- Verify the customer concern.
- Visually inspect for obvious signs of electrical damage.
